Just up the road you will find Tubac, a town enveloped in art and history. Tubac was established in 1752 as Spanish presidios (fort), working artists’ studios now surround the grounds which once served as the home for the Spanish military garrison. Every year in February Tubac holds the annual “Arts Festival” which showcases the work of hundreds of visiting artists, craft persons and musicians from around the country and Canada.
